How do I get started as a first-time home buyer?
Find a real estate agent who knows the area you want to buy in, and use them as a resource. Next, get pre-approved. I suggest a local lender, and your agent can recommend good ones.
Then I set you up on a feed of homes that match what you want and your price point. You tell me which ones you want to see. When you find the one, I put the offer together and negotiate it for you.

A lender lays out your options based on what you qualify for. 20% down isn't the only way to buy, and it may not be the best way for you.

To make your application stand out, you can offer a little more rent, pay extra months up front, or ask for a lease longer than 12 months.
